Aisling Bea

Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian who has been around for quite a while. Her birthplace was in Kildare Ireland, on 16th March 1984. Bea was on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16th March 1984) is a stand-up comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea started appearing as part of the cast in Irish or British TV shows in 2009, made her debut by performing stand-up comedy in the year 2011. The comedian began to appear regularly on sketch comedy and sitcoms in 2012. In 2012, following her was awarded an award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA), she started to appear frequently in panel shows. Between 2016 and 2017 she was a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats team in addition to being a performer in the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. Born to Brian O'Sullivan and his wife, she has one sister called Sinead. She became only the second female to be a winner of the show So You Think You're Funny in 2012. Bea was given to her in memory of her father. Aisling Cliodhnadh is the daughter of a Kildare woman who was born in Kildare. Her birth date was in March 16, 1984. Bea's father Brian was a vet for horses that committed suicide when she was just three years old. However, she didn't discover the reason of death until she was 13 years old. The stage name she chose was Bea to pay tribute to her late father. Bea also wrote an article published in The Guardian on her family's death experience. Bea along with her younger sister Sinead were nurtured by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) who was a secondary school teacher and jockey trainer, as well as a professional jockey for a time. Her family were in love with horses and race meetings. Bea started her journey as a tour-guide at the Irish National Stud. However Bea knew early that racing wasn't the right fit for her.
